Our commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging

At CareRev, we amplify DEIB: diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. Diversity adds richness to the work experience, but recognizing diversity alone is simply not enough.

We know that when DEIB is tracked and top of mind, each member of our organization puts more emphasis on it day-to-day. That ensures we all have opportunities to bring our most authentic selves to work and to contribute to a more inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone. It also ensures we carry that forward as we work with our healthcare clients and professionals.

“Our People & Culture team is cultivating an equitable and inclusive organizational culture that includes hiring a diverse workforce, which adds essential perspectives to our company culture. As a team, we are taking the lead on prioritizing diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, not just because it’s the right thing to do, but because it raises CareRev’s competitive edge.”

Suzanne Griffin, Senior Director of People Operations

Our initiatives

Commitment to promoting fair, equitable, and inclusive hiring

Our Talent Acquisition team actively reaches out to and encourages individuals from all walks of life and perspectives to join Team CareRev. By investing in an organizational culture and in recruitment processes that embrace DEIB, that team prioritizes policies and procedures that celebrate candidates expressing themselves openly and that preclude unconscious bias. Our commitment to fair, equitable, and inclusive hiring includes:

Culture Committee

We have a cross-departmental team of employees who lead DEIB engagement efforts to:

By focusing on creating a sense of comfort, connection, and contribution, our Culture Committee provides vital support to their colleagues. Their recommendations to leadership go beyond the standard bias training and team building activities. This committee is dedicated to exploring what DEIB looks and feels like to CareRev team members and creating that vision across departments and across leadership.

We have a cross-departmental team of employees who lead DEIB engagement efforts to:

BLM Book Club

We also have a committee of cross-departmental team members who meet virtually to create a safe and consistent space for discussing topics and books impacting the Black community.

While joining and participating in such a community can be a powerful way to learn about the experiences of others, members understand it’s only a first step. This community shares resources, articles, events, and books asynchronously and focuses on how to use knowledge to more actively support our Black community as well as BIPOC & LGBTIQA+ communities.

All CareRev team members are welcome to join as they unlearn their own biases and contribute to deconstructing systems that allow and encourage racism.

“What drives me is knowing that if we can be a great employer to folks who have been historically left behind, we are a better employer for everyone. An employer that creates flexibility and support for team members who have disabilities or chronic illness is a better employer for everyone. An employer that proactively intercepts bias and microaggressions makes the workplace safer for everyone. An employer that elevates BIPOC, women and genderqueer leaders, broadens the scope of what leaders should look and act like is a better employer for everyone.”
