• Current RN license and good standing with the State Board of Nursing.
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as an CVICU RN within the last year.
• Must be familiar with caring for patients post open heart procedures, CABG, valve replacement, post cardiac catheterization, STEMI, and other complex cardiac disorders.
• Must show competency assisting with bedside procedures such as TEE, cardioversion, transcutaneous/epicardial pacing, and invasive line placement.
• Experience delivering care to patients with Ventricular Assist Devices (VAD), Impella, Intra-aortic Balloon Pumps (IABP), and invasive hemodynamic monitoring equipment such as Swan Ganz catheters.
• Experience admitting and recovering post surgical and post procedural cardiac patients.
• Experience with ECMO and CRRT/continuous renal replacement is a plus!
