• Completion of an accredited surgical technologist program required. Must hold current certified surgical technologist certification and be in good standing with NBSTSA and/or NCCT.
• Current BLS from the American Heart Association (be sure to include the AHA logo and QR Code).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a surgical tech in an inpatient surgical setting (most recent experience within the last year).
• Strong familiarity with Universal Protocol measures (such as Surgical Site marking, Time Out, and procedure verification process).
• Able to demonstrate knowledge and skills of aseptic technique, surgical instrumentation, supplies, and equipment, and maintaining sterile surgical field.
• Must be a resourceful and adaptable individual who takes direction well, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, collaborates with surgical staff, and is comfortable asking clarifying questions.
