• Current RN license and be in good standing with the State Board of Nursing.
• Current AHA BLS certification. ACLS may be required prior to first shift.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Pre Op RN (most recent experience within the last year).
• Strong ability to assess, plan, coordinate, evaluate and delegate the delivery of skilled patient care, as well as demonstrate critical thinking, and consistency in following established processes.
• Strong assessment and IV skills are required.
• Strong familiarity with surgical, procedural, and anesthesia consent forms, preoperative medications, and universal precautions.
• Competent with surgical site infection prevention measures, postoperative pain management, and discharge education.
